What is a Children's Museum
Children's museums are unlike traditional museums (like art, science or history). Children's museums focus on the experiential learning opportunities of young children to support and foster their development. Children's museums are interactive, social experiences for children and their care-givers. Children's museum exhibits cross a wide range of modalities from art, science, health and imaginative role playing. Exhibits are often indoors and outdoors. Play, touch, experimentation and fun are the core of the experiences at a children's museum.
